Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunt – August

Posted by & filed under Good Stuff to Do.

This month’s Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunters are:

Check out their blogs – I can’t wait to see all this month’s pictures! Once everyone has posted I will chose my favourites (The Pressure! The Pressure!) and post them on here.

My offerings for August:

Something I Made

something i made

I made this blanket for my friend’s new baby (Dermot!). It took me more than a month, especially as it was the second attempt as I lost the first one in my flat somewhere, so I hope it still counts as I finished it in August. This is a picture of Pand and Pooh trying it out.

This month I went on a jaunt to Devon. I loved this kind of ugly house with the view. It made me think of Agatha Christie and Daphne du Maurier and lovely books and stories and plots with beautiful heroines and braggards and ne’er-do-wells.

This is Montacute House in Somerset. It was built in the 16th century. I loved the gargoyles.

I’m not sure who was more surprised – this guy (grasshopper?) or me when I found him mincing along the ceiling above my toilet.

Motif: Hearts

They may be strawberries but they also look like hearts, and they are red.

Aaah, but are they proper gargoyles or just grotesques? ;)

Great pics, my favourite is the one with Pand and Pooh, I have a bit of a soft spot for bears! Thanks for hosting this month, our next host is Rachie over at The Awesome Lady (and I’m planning to sort out a proper rota, so if you could let me know your e-mail address that’d be fab!).
